# Claude Desktop

> Current Portfobit MCP interoperability guidance for Claude Desktop.

Portfobit supports browser-based OAuth for remote MCP clients. Direct Claude Desktop interoperability is not part of the currently verified setup template.

## What to use now

Use [Claude Code](/guides/mcp/claude-code) for the verified Claude integration. It adds the remote MCP URL and signs in through Portfobit's OAuth flow without copying an API key.

If your Claude Desktop release can add a custom remote OAuth MCP server, use this URL:

https://mcp.portfobit.com/v1/mcp
```

Do not add a static `Authorization` header to an OAuth connection.
